Gov. Brad Henry and Andy Lester Detail Oklahoma’s Capital Punishment System in the Oklahoman

Spencer Fane attorneys Governor Brad Henry and Andy Lester recently co-authored a guest column published in the Oklahoman on the flaws in Oklahoma’s capital punishment system after the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals scheduled 25 executions to occur over the next 29 months.

In their article, Oklahoma Executions Should Stop Until System is Reformed, Gov. Henry and Andy outline the Oklahoma Death Penalty Review Commission’s comprehensive report issued in 2017. Gov. Henry and Andy served as co-chairs of the Commission. The article was also featured on the Death Penalty Information Center.
