Spencer Fane LLP is pleased to welcome Daniel A. Alvarado to the firm’s Austin, Texas, office as an associate in the Environmental and Energy Practice Group.
After most recently serving as an attorney with the Public Utility Commission of Texas, Daniel will use his firsthand regulatory experience to guide public utility clients through complex regulatory, operational, and business challenges and bridge the gap between legal requirements and effective business solutions.
Daniel’s working knowledge of the regulatory frameworks, processes, and policies that shape the utility industry will allow him to guide clients through proceedings, compliance matters, and strategic initiatives alongside the firm’s talented and dynamic utilities team.
“Our strong utilities sector and broader environmental and energy practice are always eager to welcome talented professionals with unique industry perspectives,” said Cody Faulk, office managing partner for Spencer Fane in Austin. “Daniel’s engineering and public-sector experience will be a fantastic complement to the exceptional work we’re doing here in Austin. We look forward to collaborating with him as he develops and grows his private practice.”
Daniel received his bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University and then worked as a mechanical engineer. That technical training enables him to understand the engineering, infrastructure, and operational issues that drive utility matters.
Daniel later earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law.
