Spencer Fane attorney David Miller was recently featured in a Denver Business Journal article discussing the slow pace of bankruptcy filings in Colorado during the pandemic.
Titled “What experts want you to know about Colorado’s drop in bankruptcy filings,” the article explains the reasons why there has not been a rise in bankruptcy proceedings, including pandemic-instigated federal financial support offered to businesses.
As a result of such programs and debt forbearance agreements in effect, “Bankruptcies are down around the country, and Colorado is part of that decline,” David explained. “There’s been a significant decline, which is contrary to what you might think and contrary to what I thought would happen.”
