Spencer Fane attorney Dani Kaiser’s article, How Contractors Can Navigate Cost Pressures, Labor Shortages and Regulatory Hurdles in 2026, was recently published by Construction Dive as well as Construction Owners.
In the article, Dani examines the challenges contractors will face in 2026, including rising material costs, labor shortages, regulatory changes, and shifting demand across sectors like data centers, energy, and infrastructure. She highlights strategies such as adopting digital tools, diversifying project portfolios, and maintaining strong financial management to stay competitive.
“Contractors who enter 2026 with a healthy balance sheet and managed liquidity will have the financial flexibility they need to adapt to market volatility and labor shortages while investing in new opportunities,” Dani wrote. “Strategic bidding and the ability to manage material price volatility are of critical importance for contractors to ensure profitability in 2026.”
At the firm, Dani focuses her practice on establishing and assisting special districts and other local governmental entities authorized by Colorado state law to provide public infrastructure and services to their residents and property owners, utilize public financing mechanisms, and ensure the district’s statutory compliance. Dani also represents construction companies as outside general counsel to handle contract drafting and negotiation and effectively navigate disputes and claim management.
