For the third consecutive year, Spencer Fane attorney Cody Faulk presented at UT Law CLE’s 29th Annual Land Use Conference in Austin, Texas. He also served on the Conference Faculty and Planning Committee for the April 10-11 event.
Cody moderated the panel, How Utilities Can Intentionally or Unintentionally Influence Land Use. Featuring attorneys who represent utilities, developers, and municipalities addressing conditions of utility service, the session explored regulatory framework surrounding utilities on the ground as well as the interplay between land development inside and outside municipal limits.
At the firm, Cody serves as Office Managing Partner for the Spencer Fane Austin office and Co-Leader of the Utilities team. In addition to these leadership roles, he represents investor and municipally owned utility clients in both routine and complicated administrative, transactional, operational, and regulatory issues, helping them capitalize on financial benefits in operations while avoiding potential crises. He specifically focuses on regulatory and enforcement proceedings for municipalities, utilities, and landowners before the Public Utility Commission of Texas, Railroad Commission of Texas, Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), and the State Office of Administrative Hearings.
