Charles Robert Bone Featured in Nashville Business Journal as ‘Nashville Moves’ Campaign Speaker

April 30, 2024

Spencer Fane attorney Charles Robert Bone was recently featured in the Nashville Business Journal for his role as a speaker at the April 19 “Nashville Moves” campaign kickoff event following Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell’s formal announcement of plans for mass transit expansion. Charles Robert was a prominent supporter of the city’s 2018 transit campaign, which sought to secure dedicated funding for mass transit but ultimately failed at the polls. Nashville is one of only four of the nation’s 50 largest metros without dedicated funding.

The new plan aims to support multiple mass transit projects, including a rapid transit bus service with nearly 40 miles of newly reserved bus lanes and introductory infrastructure changes necessary to support future light rail expansion. Most of the funding would be acquired from a .5% raise in city sales taxes, which voters would need to approve this November.

At the firm, Charles Robert is the Nashville Office Managing Partner and advises emerging businesses, entrepreneurs, officers and directors, and governmental entities on matters pertaining to economic and real estate development, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance. Outside of his practice, Charles Robert is heavily involved in progressive community development initiatives serving the Nashville metro.
