Cathy Webking Moderates Extreme Weather Preparedness at Energy Bar Association Conference

Spencer Fane attorney Cathy Webking participated in the recent Energy Bar Association Conference and Annual Meeting in Washington D.C.

Every year, this two-day conference gathers attorneys, energy professionals, regulators, and others who work in the energy law and policy arena for compelling discussions, exceptional professional development, and networking opportunities. As part of its insightful programming, Cathy served as moderator for the Future-Proofing Against Extreme Weather: Strategies and Insights panel.

This panel explored key takeaways from recent extreme weather events such as Winter Storms Uri and Elliott, which highlighted significant vulnerabilities in the bulk electric system. Cathy and her fellow thought leaders examined the proactive measures being implemented to bolster weather preparedness and discussed ongoing challenges and potential barriers to achieving comprehensive weather preparedness in the energy sector.
