Spencer Fane attorney Bill Hopkins received the American Health Law Association (AHLA) IDEA Champion Award in recognition of his commitment to advancing inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility (IDEA) in AHLA and the health law profession. He will be honored on January 30 at a virtual award presentation.
The IDEA Champion Award honors AHLA members who actively promote IDEA in the health law profession, improve IDEA among underserved populations or health care systems, encourage and embrace the participation of diverse individuals in the health law community, and advocate for innovative approaches and best practices to ensure that IDEA is practiced in the health law profession.
AHLA is the nation’s largest, nonpartisan, 501(c)(3) educational organization devoted to legal issues in the health care field.
At the firm, Bill serves as Office Managing Partner for the Austin office and as a member of the Spencer Fane DEI Committee. As an attorney, he helps to protect health care providers and health care companies against the many potential pitfalls in the industry, serving as both an advocate and educator for his clients in administrative law, regulatory defense, transactional work, compliance, and litigation.
