Spencer Fane attorney Andy Peskoe was a panelist at the January 20-21 James Beard Foundation 2026 Financial Literacy Workshop for Women in New York.
He joined Michael Davis (Co-Founder & CEO, Homegrown) and Lynda Marren (Founder, Just Add Salt) for the session, Investor and Deal Maker Perspectives. Together, they explored what makes a compelling investment, do’s and don’ts in pitching, and key deal-structure tips and pitfalls, offering practical, real-world guidance to founders navigating growth and capital.
The two-day workshop provided a valuable forum for women and nonbinary hospitality entrepreneurs, from early-stage founders to established operators, and focused on delivering the financial literacy tools needed to move their businesses to the next level. Andy’s participation reflects not only his long-standing leadership in the hospitality and restaurant sector, but also the strength of a broader hospitality and restaurant platform, dedicated to advising founders, operators, and investors on growth, capital formation, and complex transactions.
At Spencer Fane, Andy – a recent addition to the firm from its combination with Golenbock Eiseman Assor Bell & Peskoe – focuses his practice on the representation of private and public emerging growth companies, as well as venture capital and private equity funds, in both domestic and international transactions. He advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings, technology transfer and licensing matters, and complex financing transactions, including leveraged buyouts and growth equity investments.
