Spencer Fane attorneys Andrew Brought and Paul Jacobson recently joined the Every-Day Risk podcast as featured guests to discuss the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)’s recently updated guidance on worker safety and changes proposed by the Biden Administration.
Podcast hosts Larry Poague and Lucas Pfannenstiel of Lockton Insurance interviewed the duo on OSHA’s new COVID-19 guidance, concerns, and its impact on employers. Andrew and Paul discussed the workplace guidance, including the updates on PPE, the hazard assessment process, and the four main risk categories.
“I would encourage employers to involve their employees in the hazard recognition…this process is designed to identify the hazards that employees face,” Paul explained. “Employees are the front line and they know best how job duties are carried out and what hazards they face.”
