Spencer Fane attorney A.J. Ferate was recently named to Virginia’s Attorney General-elect Jason Miyares’s transition team. A.J. previously served as General Counsel to Mr. Miyares’s campaign, and his role will involve the development of the office leadership team, work on policy strategy, and office organization and structure matters.
The transition team is put into place to assist with the formal transition of power. A.J.’s multi-faceted background in the areas of law, policy, energy, campaigns/elections, and defense gives him a solid foundation to be a successful member of Miyares’s transition team.
Previously, A.J. has represented many candidates for office, including U.S. Senator James Lankford, Congresswoman Stephanie Bice, and Lieutenant Governor Matt Pinnell, among others. He was a volunteer General Counsel and spokesman on behalf of the Oklahoma Republican Party for twelve and a half years and has assisted elected officials in service to their constituents in all branches of government.
