While federal agencies are moving toward the protection of transgender rights, many state legislatures are going in the opposite direction. As the landscape continues to evolve, educators are subject to confusing rules. This webinar will cover:
- A review of the legal landscape, focusing on leading federal court decisions and OCR guidance;
- Discussion of the many practical issues that arise with transgender students and employees, including bathrooms, overnight trips, requests to modify school records or employment records, employee objections to transgender policies, and more; and
- Practical tips for policy considerations.
