Spencer Fane attorney Elizabeth Felker was spotlighted in a special May issue of Missouri Lawyers Media (MLM) in recognition of her 2023 Women’s Justice Award honor. She is one of four firm attorneys this year to earn this achievement.
Liz and her fellow honorees were each profiled under their respective categories in the WJA 25th anniversary issue. MLM highlighted Liz as a Transactional Practitioner Award recipient, summarized her career accomplishments, and featured her perspective.
“I don’t go to court or litigate,” Liz said. “… The justice aspect of what I do is my employee benefits specialty. My client is the employer, but I help them make sure that everything they do is compliant with the rules and laws in place to protect employees.”
WJA honorees are recognized for their “professional excellence in Missouri’s courtrooms and boardrooms.” Spencer Fane is the only firm with more than three honorees this year. Attorneys Stacy Harper, Jessie Merrigan, and Charli Steed are also 2023 WJA recipients.
At Spencer Fane, Liz’s practice focuses on business transactions, employee benefits, and executive and deferred compensation. She draws on her experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate formations and reorganizations, and public and private securities offerings to provide effective, pragmatic solutions to clients’ transactional and other business-related needs.
