October 22, 2026

Spencer Fane LLP is pleased to welcome Julia G. Traina to the firm’s Tampa office as an associate in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group.

Julia helps businesses, financial institutions, and individuals navigate complex disputes and insolvency matters, providing strategic representation at both the trial and appellate levels in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts throughout Florida. Her practice encompasses commercial litigation, including contract and business disputes, shareholder and derivative actions, noncompete and trade secret matters, as well as bankruptcy proceedings and appellate matters.

Beyond her practice, Julia is a proactive member of several national, state, and local legal associations. She completed the Hillsborough Association for Women Lawyers’ Leadership Academy in 2025 and is currently participating in the Hillsborough County Bar Association’s (HCBA) Bar Leadership Institute.

Julia has authored an article addressing post-judgment enforcement issues and recently presented on the subject at the HCBA’s 29th Annual Bench Bar Conference. She has also been honored by Florida Super Lawyers and made Tampa Magazine’s Top Lawyers List twice for Business Organizations Law.

“Julia joins us with a tenacious drive to expand her practice and an appetite for industry leadership, traits which align with the firm’s commitment to serve both clients and broader legal and business communities in growing markets,” said Kirby McDonough, office managing partner for Spencer Fane in Tampa. “We look forward to the many ways she will contribute to our dynamic litigation and bankruptcy groups as they also help her to further hone her practice.”

Julia earned both her bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctor magna cum laude from Florida State University.
