Spencer Fane Hosts Inclusive Networking Events at ABA SEER Conference

May 6, 2026

Spencer Fane was pleased to host both the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB)-in-Action Lunch and Beginnings & Belonging Reception for the 55th Spring Conference on Environmental Law on April 22 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Part of the kickoff activities for the four-day American Bar Association Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources (ABA SEER) event – which also boasted a panel featuring firm attorney Karen D. Olson – these gatherings not only fostered connections between conference attendees but also highlighted the Section’s crucial DEIB work. Held at the Spencer Fane Minneapolis office, the DEIB-in-Action Lunch allowed dozens of diverse law students, recent graduates, and early-career attorneys to receive candid insights and guidance from diverse attorneys practicing in environmental and energy law. To bookend the day, the Beginnings & Belonging Reception allowed guests to pick up their conference materials; enjoy food, drinks, and networking; and learn more about DEIB initiatives.

As a law firm dedicated to building, maintaining, and leveraging a diverse and inclusive law firm that strengthens its clients and communities, Spencer Fane was pleased to support DEIB principles alongside ABA SEER. The firm maintains an outspoken commitment to empowering people of all backgrounds that includes fostering connections, encouraging authenticity, and embracing opportunities for learning and growth.
