Stephen Fallis
Overview
Stephen J. Fallis focuses his practice on commercial leasing and real estate litigation, bringing decades of experience to clients involved in complex property and leasing disputes. He brings extensive beneficial experience representing parties in retail and shopping center leases, including lease enforcement, negotiation, and restructuring. He routinely advises landlords, tenants, developers, and investors on legal matters tied to commercial real estate occupancy and use in an effort find beneficial resolutions for all key stakeholders.
In addition to transactional work, Stephen is a seasoned litigator who has handled a wide range of commercial real estate disputes, including lease and property conflicts, through trial, arbitration, and mediation. This includes experience representing both real estate brokers and property owners in brokerage commission disputes, giving him a nuanced understanding of the dynamics and legal obligations involved.
Stephen is also an experienced neutral, having served as a pro bono mediator for the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, and regularly helps clients resolve disputes outside of the courtroom in a wide variety of legal venues through alternative dispute resolution.
