Roser Excellence in Bankruptcy Award. He formally received this honor at the firm-sponsored October 16-17 Midwestern Bankruptcy Institute in Kansas City, Missouri.
Established in 1994, this distinction honors the memory of Michael R. Roser, a prominent Kansas City bankruptcy lawyer. The award annually recognizes an attorney who “manifests the highest standard of excellence in bankruptcy practice, who has contributed distinctively to the development and appreciation of bankruptcy law and jurisprudence, and/or who has made an outstanding contribution in the field of bankruptcy administration or practice with a proven commitment to public service.”
At the firm, Scott’s practice concentrates in the areas of bankruptcy and reorganization for businesses, representation of secured creditors and creditors’ committees in workouts and bankruptcies, and bond default situations in both federal and state courts.
