Spencer Fane LLP is pleased to welcome Holly Vandrovec to the firm’s Austin, Texas, office as an of counsel attorney in the Environmental and Energy Law practice groups.
Across a broad legal practice spanning two decades, Holly most recently served as an Administrative Law Judge and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) team lead at The State Office of Administrative Hearings (SOAH) in Austin, Texas. Her 11 years with SOAH allowed her to gain in-depth experience presiding over a wide range of complex cases while managing a team of mediators. Recently, she successfully mediated two multibillion-dollar cases referred by the Public Utility Commission of Texas.
Prior to her role at SOAH, Holly worked in private practice specializing in energy transactions, including corporate mergers and acquisitions and negotiation of oil and gas leases and surface use agreements; oil and gas regulatory work; environmental matters, including mining and mineral processing wastes, federal Superfund negotiations, and compliance counseling; and water utility and water district matters.
“We look forward to deepening the public sector perspective within our bench of highly skilled environmental and energy attorneys as we add another talented member to the firm’s expanding Texas footprint,” said Cody Faulk, office managing partner for Spencer Fane in Austin. “Holly brings extensive experience and knowledge from both sides of the negotiating table and the practical regulatory mindset that is a core component of our team’s continued success.”
Holly earned both her bachelor’s degree in biology and Juris Doctor at the University of Texas at Austin. A frequent speaker on administrative and ADR topics, she has also presented and published content related to environmental and energy policy at large industry forums and within prestigious legal publications.
