Overview
Nick Solosky addresses current and emerging issues impacting federal contractors and procurement professionals in the Washington, D.C., area and across the country, serving as a government contracting thought leader throughout numerous jurisdictions.
Nick focuses his practice on federal government contracts, with a strong emphasis on procurement disputes and claim resolution. He handles bid protests, Requests for Equitable Adjustments, and Contract Disputes Act claims, as well as federal ethics and compliance matters. He also advises clients on internal investigations, False Claims Act matters, and Small Business Administration set-aside programs, including size protests.
In addition to his government contracts practice, Nick represents regional and national construction companies in both private and public projects. He regularly assists clients with contract negotiations and litigation, drawing on his experience as a seasoned litigator who has successfully handled disputes nationwide.

- Represented a leading federal construction contractor on Contract Disputes Act claims against the General Services Administration before the Civilian Board of Contract Appeals.
- Represented a marine contractor in wrongful termination action and differing site conditions claim before the Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals.
- Represented a marine contractor at the U.S. Court of Federal Claims on claims related to government-caused changes and delays on a pier construction project.
- Successfully intervened in and defeated a Government Accountability Office (GAO) bid protest challenging the presumptive awardee’s award of a $20 million Indefinite Duration/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) for architect / engineering services for the U.S. Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Pacific (NAVFAC Pacific).
- Secured dismissal of a Federal District Court complaint based on the Southern District of New York’s first-to-file doctrine.
- Prepared a legal opinion for a lithium-ion battery manufacturer concerning Buy America Act compliance.
- Represented a group of commercial building contractors with respect to bid protests and size protests before the GAO and Small Business Administration, respectively.
- Defended an employee of a leading geotechnical construction firm in suspension and debarment hearings before the Environmental Protection Agency.
