Overview
Mitch Blackburn counsels businesses, financial institutions, and property owners, with extensive experience handling business disputes, environmental regulatory and enforcement issues, due diligence matters, and real estate and construction financing transactions.
His practice includes commercial litigation, environmental law, and commercial lending matters. Mitch has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide range of business disputes involving breach of contract, fraud, securities issues, tortious interference claims, breach of fiduciary duty, and shareholder disputes. In addition, he represents clients before state and federal administrative agencies in regulatory and enforcement proceedings.
A significant portion of Mitch’s practice focuses on environmental regulation and litigation. He advises clients on environmental due diligence associated with mergers and acquisitions, permitting matters, administrative enforcement actions, and Superfund litigation. His experience navigating both state and federal environmental requirements enables clients to address regulatory obligations while supporting strategic business initiatives.
Financial institutions also rely on Mitch’s counsel in commercial lending transactions. He represents lenders in real estate and construction financing matters involving acquisition, development, and construction projects, including shopping centers, hospitals, office buildings, condominiums, and multifamily developments.
