Overview

Elizabeth Isaac helps businesses, entrepreneurs, and artists assess and protect their inventions and creative products and ideas to leverage IP portfolios and enhance business options. She strategically counsels clients on due diligence, patents, trademarks, copyrights, entertainment law, and internet law, as well as licensing, transactional, adversarial, and litigation matters. Elizabeth excels in holistic IP management by collaborating with more narrowly focused colleagues to develop global IP and IP-adjacent approaches to strengthen companies’ market positions.

Elizabeth improves the value of technological assets and mitigates risks associated with IP rights, frequently negotiating deals between rights holders and third parties seeking to grant and obtain permission to use protected content. She touches all forms of IP law within her transactional practice, drafting licensing, services, subscription, joint development, and publishing agreements. Likewise, Elizabeth’s dispute experience comprises the full spectrum of IP resolution platforms, including district court litigation, the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.

Elizabeth’s trademark work encompasses worldwide brand portfolio management, clearance, prosecution, cease-and-desist letters, and trademark settlement agreements. Her design and copyright work includes creative works portfolio management, enforcement and defense, and design patent and copyright preparation and prosecution. In Elizabeth’s patent work, she manages freedom to operate and state of the art analyses as well as drafting and prosecution for clients across diverse industries, with specific experience in medical, food and beverage industry products and systems, consumer products and methods of manufacturing and packaging, software, and energy.
