Overview

Kyril Talanov is an experienced and trial-tested patent litigator. He has represented small entities and inventors to Fortune 100 clients in IP and complex commercial cases across the country with a focus on high-stakes patent litigation. Kyril’s experience extends to high-tech fields, such as wireless networks and security, data communication codecs, content streaming, business enterprise applications and software, smartphone chips, consumer electronics, and smart automotive sensors, as well as oilfield tools and industrial treatment chemicals.

Prior to joining Spencer Fane, Kyril practiced at a top global law firm as well as a top Texas litigation boutique. Kyril holds a degree in chemical engineering, and prior to law school has held various roles operating and designing oil, gas, and petrochemical facilities at major energy companies. Applying his industry experience, Kyril brings a detail-oriented yet practical approach to counseling clients. While in law school, Kyril interned at the First Court of Appeals of Texas.
