Kathy Kindell helps public and private companies navigate mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance matters, and securities law compliance so they can pursue strategic opportunities and meet their business objectives.
Her practice focuses on a broad range of transactional and corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions and general corporate counseling. Kathy represents businesses across a variety of industries, including energy, communications, transportation, health care, and manufacturing. Clients rely on her practical guidance to evaluate opportunities, manage risk, and address the legal considerations associated with significant business transactions.
A substantial portion of Kathy’s practice involves advising public companies on corporate governance and securities compliance matters. She assists clients in addressing regulatory obligations, Securities and Exchange Commission requirements, and governance issues affecting boards of directors and management teams.
Before entering private practice, Kathy served in the legal department of a publicly traded communications company, where she also acted as assistant corporate secretary. That experience provides valuable insight into the governance, compliance, and operational challenges facing public companies and informs her practical, business-focused approach to client service.
