Overview
Katherine Cochran assists clients across a wide variety of industries with complex commercial litigation matters, approaching case management from a holistic perspective as she drafts necessary legal documents, provides thoughtful counsel, and proactively advocates for clients in and out of the courtroom to obtain favorable outcomes.
As she continues to build and curate a reputation as an effective, full-service litigator, Katherine focuses a large part of her practice on contract disputes, business torts, and premises liability matters. Early in her career, she fearlessly took the lead on several key cases and secured her role on litigation teams navigating high-stakes disputes.
Prior to entering private practice, Katherine served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Nicole J. Starr of the Ramsey County District Court in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

- Successfully obtained a summary judgment on a claim for breach of contract for deed which was affirmed by the Minnesota Court of Appeals.
- Successfully obtained a summary judgment regarding claims arising from Minnesota’s Deceptive Trade Practices Act and obtained permanent injunction to prevent future attempts to divert client’s business.
- Successfully obtained a summary judgment defeating claims of trespass, civil theft, conversion, and deceptive trade practices.
- Obtained a reversal of a harassment restraining order on appeal to the Minnesota Court of Appeals.
