John Bloomer handles complex real estate, lending and commercial transactions for clients of all sizes. He has extensive experience in negotiating, structuring, financing, and closing real estate deals. In addition, John has a strong background defending clients real estate-related litigation matters.
His clients include developers, commercial / retail owners, private investors, lenders, brokers, property and asset management companies, landlords, and tenants. John provides counsel on acquisition, development, construction, financing, adaptive reuse, leasing, operation and management. He helps clients with all types of property including raw land, master-planned residential developments, multi-family housing, senior housing, student housing, mixed-use developments, high-rise office space, medical facilities, hotels, retail space, shopping malls, and large-scale retail centers.
John’s experience with financial institutions and commercial borrowers involves negotiation, due diligence, structuring, restructuring, documentation and closing of commercial and project finance transactions. He regularly assists banks and other lenders in assessing non-performing loans and loan portfolios, and helps clients with loans for acquisition, demolition, development, construction, and renovation across all methods of financing.
Before entering the legal profession, John held ownership of a real estate company. He also possesses a background in business education, using those experiences to help understand a client’s business and determine best practice strategies to ensure financial success associated with real estate transactions.
