James S. (Jim) Patterson
Overview
Jim Patterson combines his diverse legal background and experience as a CPA to help clients across a broad spectrum of corporate and business legal issues. Many of his clients are small business owners and he takes pride in helping them grow from startup to stability. He has worked with clients on a wide range of matters including real estate, employment law, trademarks, copyrights, licensing, and mergers and acquisitions.
Jim also counsels clients on their estate planning needs and the preparation of supporting wills and trusts.
His clients appreciate the broad range of services he brings, and he often fills the role of general counsel for his clients, overseeing all aspects of the legal issues their businesses encounter.
Jim graduated from SMU Dedman School of Law in 1991, and he received his B.B.A. from Baylor University in 1986. He is a member of the Dallas Bar Association, Real Property Law Section, as well as the State Bar of Texas, Real Estate, Probate, and Trust Law sections.
