Overview

Greg Ewing represents clients in complex and high-profile cybersecurity, privacy, blockchain, artificial intelligence, and other technology-related litigation and arbitration matters with a focus on resolving disputes as early as possible through a mix of practical legal acumen and technical fluency. A diligent counselor, he also guides strategic business operations and best practices, developing sophisticated cybersecurity policies, privacy compliance programs, licensing frameworks, and technology contracts.

With clients ranging from Fortune 100 companies to non‑U.S. sovereigns to small businesses and individuals, Greg has served as a strong and agile representative before diverse national and international legal venues. These include the International Trade Commission and the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes, in addition to U.S. courts and arbitration tribunals. While he strives to leverage all available resources for early settlement in most disputes, he is willing to pursue aggressive litigation tactics when necessary, working seamlessly under pressure and curating a track record of success even when financial exposure reaches billions of dollars.

Greg also regularly manages general commercial litigation matters for local and regional businesses in Washington, D.C., and Maryland.

In addition, Greg boasts experience representing product manufacturers in trade investigations before the U.S. International Trade Commission and the U.S. Department of Commerce. He has successfully helped clients obtain carve‑outs from investigations, contest allegations of domestic injury, enforce trademarks and patents, protect trade secrets, and minimize countervailing duties and antidumping margins.

Prior to earning his Juris Doctor, Greg worked as a software developer and consultant, experience which aids his thoughtful, tech-savvy perspective amid highly complex and contentious disputes.
