Overview

Danny O’Malley is a member of the firm’s Business Transactions practice group. He provides high levels of client service to businesses ranging from small startup entities to large public companies. His practice focuses on a wide variety of transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and day-to-day legal advice on all aspects of business operations critical to success.

Prior to entering private practice, Danny worked as a summer associate at Spencer Fane where he gained practical experience collaborating with several attorneys. His work included researching and drafting memoranda for clients on business, tax, and litigation matters and analyzing contracts related to complex transactions. He also completed a clerkship with the Cuyahoga County (Ohio) Public Defender’s Office, as well as internships with the U.S. Marshals Service (Northern District of Ohio) and the Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy.

Danny completed his undergraduate studies at Davidson College in North Carolina, where he graduated magna cum laude, and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, where he graduated summa cum laude. During law school, he served as Editor-in-Chief of Volume 90 of the UMKC Law Review, was a legal research and writing teaching assistant, and assisted both the Entrepreneurial Legal Services Clinic and the Intellectual Property Clinic. Danny won CALI Awards in six different classes: Contracts I, Civil Procedure I, Lawyering Skills I, Law of International Trade & Finance, Legal Accounting, and Professional Responsibility.
