Overview

Brianna Mathias provides practical, compliance-based counsel to businesses navigating both simple and complex environmental and energy law matters, with specific experience addressing regulations concerning health and safety within the mining industry.

Prior to entering private practice, Brianna served as an attorney-advisor within the Federal Mine Safety and Health Review Commission in Denver. In this position, she provided comprehensive support to administrative law judges in trial and appellate review proceedings of legal disputes between the Mine Safety and Health Administration and mining operators, addressing citations and penalties under the Federal Mine Safety and Health Act of 1977.

While earning her law degree, Brianna completed internships with the Natural Resources and Environment Section of the Colorado Attorney General’s Office, the Colorado Office of Administrative Courts, and for the Honorable William W. Hood of the Colorado Supreme Court.
