Spencer Fane attorney Peter Goplerud helped organize a virtual CLE program for the National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA) that took place January 25-27.
As part of the planning committee for the Winter 2023 Virtual CLE Workshop: Student Affairs Legal Issues, Peter helped organize two of the event’s panels. One presentation focused on challenges associated with the virtual delivery of curriculum and the other highlighted issues for collegiate sports related to name, image, and likeness policies and laws. Peter and his fellow committee members were introduced at the events’ commencement with reference to their school and/or law firm affiliation.
At Spencer Fane, Peter serves as Of Counsel in the Higher Education practice. With a focus on higher education and sports law, he is a frequent lecturer and is widely published in the sports law area, including serving as co-author of one of the leading textbooks on the subject. Peter also has extensive accreditation experience, particularly within legal education, having served as chair of numerous ABA Site Evaluation teams.
