Advantage CLE: White Collar Defense and Government Investigations: 2023 Enforcement Priorities

June 20, 2023

1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. CT

Public comments and recent indictments show that the U.S. Department of Justice’s leadership means what they’ve said about corporate criminal enforcement: it is on the rise and will continue to be the number one priority of the department. As this Spencer Fane Advantage CLE session will illustrate, there are many ethical considerations to consider including past corporate conduct, electronic retention policies, compliance programs, and executive compensation.

With the DOJ explicitly urging corporations to invest in compliance and dedicating more resources to investigators and prosecutors, Spencer Fane White Collar Government Investigations attorneys Patrick McInerney and Dan Nelson will break down the priorities and trends – including COVID relief fraud, cyberfraud enforcement, and anti-corruption efforts – and what companies can do now to reduce risk.
