He is also an experienced commercial litigator, representing clients in a wide variety of cases involving breach of contract, fraud, and other business disputes. Outside of his litigation practice, Lawrence routinely advises clients regarding patent, trademark, and copyright license agreements, as well as other business contracts, and serves as outside diligence counsel to several prominent litigation funders.
Bryan has extensive experience litigating patents, and he has actively participated in and first chaired trials in numerous patent cases. He represents clients in connection with post-grant proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and routinely conducts patent IP due diligence on behalf of his clients, as well as for venture capitalists and other entities, including funds wishing to invest in IP litigation. Bryan is also admitted to the patent bar, having prosecuted patents for several major corporations. He assists clients in a wide variety of technical industries, including telecommunications, electronics, medical, robotics, computer software, and mechanical. Prior to attending law school, Bryan assisted in designing radar and radar jamming systems for military aircraft and IBM’s PowerPC processors. He was also the sole hardware designer of a cellular phone system produced by TransSky Corp, precedent-setting technical work which has shaped his current practice.
Lawrence completed his undergraduate degree summa cum laude at the Queens College of the City University of New York, then earned his Juris Doctor at Columbia Law School, where he was a member of the Columbia Journal of Law & the Arts. Before earning his Juris Doctor Valedictorian at Touro Law Center, Bryan completed his undergraduate studies at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
