Spencer Fane LLP is pleased to welcome Aaron P. Minster to the firm’s Minneapolis office as an of counsel attorney in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice group.
With a robust technical background and track record of success in and out of the courtroom, clients have benefited from Aaron’s highly adaptable day-to-day counsel and dynamic resolution strategies across markedly diverse industries and matters. His wide-ranging experience spans business disputes, shareholder derivative actions, real estate litigation, malpractice defense, defamation, trusts and estates, construction disputes, property tax litigation, cybersecurity litigation, domain name disputes, trade secrets, and copyright infringement claims.
As a former network systems engineer, software programmer, and data security consultant, Aaron is uniquely positioned to provide high-level strategizing and transparent communication for clients navigating risk analysis and litigation within complex and rapidly changing sectors, including information technology, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence. He also holds the International Association of Privacy Professionals’ ANSI/ISO accredited Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) designation, which contributes to his ability to curate optimal compliance and risk mitigation practices to protect clients’ interests.
“Aaron’s high-level technical skills will be a fantastic complement to our strong, cross-office LDR team, of which one-third of all firm attorneys are associated,” said Randi Winter, Office Managing Partner for Spencer Fane in Minneapolis. “Just as our firm continually expands and fortifies its capabilities in more traditional markets, it proactively works to strengthen our talent pool in emerging and evolving sectors such as IT and AI. We see Aaron being another strong asset in supporting that continued mission.”
Aaron received his bachelor’s degree in ecology and evolutionary biology from the University of Toronto’s prestigious life sciences program and embarked on a career as a software developer and network systems analyst. A decade later, he entered Penn State University’s Dickinson Law School, where he worked as a research assistant, before earning his Juris Doctor cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School.
Prior to entering private practice, Aaron completed a clerkship for the Honorable Francis J. Magill of the Minnesota District Court.
