Stephen Zralek Leads Sports Law Panel at IADC Annual Meeting in Berlin

Spencer Fane attorney Stephen Zralek moderates a panel on hot topics in sports law at International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) 2022 Annual Meeting on July 11.

During the presentation, In the Arena: Cutting Edge Issues in International Sports Law, Stephen and his fellow panelists discussed the hottest topics in sports law facing athletes around the world. These included how the landscape has undergone a seismic change in the year following NCAA v. Alston; athletes’ freedom of speech around the world; the hurdles that women seeking to play professional soccer/football have surmounted and still face in various nations; and whether European football should supersize (similar to the NFL or NBA).

He was joined on the panel by Paloma Figueroa, Berlin Sports Law; Prof. Jan F. Orth, University of Cologne; and Edward Stewart, Big 12 Conference.
