Jayme combines a technical engineering background with proven trial advocacy skills to provide unique insight into her clients’ complex intellectual property litigation, resolving disputes in a manner that aligns with business objectives. She focuses on patent infringement and trade secret misappropriation matters, bringing years of experience arguing cases in front of judges, juries, and mediators with a proven track record in high-profile competitor-to-competitor disputes for global companies.
Before entering the legal profession, Jamie worked as a licensed engineer for six years and, then post law school, spent time as in-house litigation counsel for a multinational integrated oil and gas company. She completed her undergraduate studies in mechanical engineering at Texas A&M and later earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law.
With a proven track record of handling all aspects of complex patent litigation from intake to disposition, Brian has experience specifically involving disputes related to software and hardware technologies, such as virus and malware detection and prevention, operating systems and run-time environments, networking architectures and protocols, semiconductor fabrication, land and marine seismic acquisition systems, audio and video codecs, and a variety of wireless communication protocols, including 802.11, CDMA, GSM, GPRS/EDGE, UMTS, LTE, and Bluetooth. He strategically prepares cases for trial and appeal when necessary while also prioritizing identifying and capitalizing on opportunities for early resolution through dispositive motions or advantageous settlements.
Brian has more than two decades of industry and personal experience in the areas of software architecture and development, embedded systems, avionics, mesh networking, robotics, laser marking, and machine vision. He completed an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering technology at Purdue University and earned his Juris Doctor at the Duke University School of Law.
