Spencer Fane LLP is pleased to welcome David R. Rudd to the firm’s Salt Lake City office as an of counsel attorney in the Corporate and Business Transactions practice group.
David assists public and private companies operating in domestic and foreign markets with the negotiation of a wide range of corporate transactions and related financings, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, minority investments, strategic alliances, asset sales and purchases, private equity and venture capital investments, intra-company mergers and reorganizations, and debt and equity financings.

“David has accumulated decades of pertinent industry knowledge and joins our firm with a comprehensive understanding of how to favorably position clients in both U.S. and foreign markets,” said Jason Hawkins, Office Managing Partner for Spencer Fane in Salt Lake City. “We look forward to how he will help expand the scope of our robust Corporate and Business Transactions practice as they strategize and collaborate across offices to deliver valuable legal services to our clients.”
Outside of private practice, David lectures at the University of Utah’s David Eccles Graduate School of Business, presents at major conferences on international and domestic business and legal matters, and serves on the board of advisors and as a panelist in events sponsored by World Trade Center Utah.
David obtained his bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University, then earned his Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law.
