Spencer Fane HR Team Collaborates with Harvesters for Volunteer Day

December 18, 2024

The Spencer Fane Human Resources team was honored to visit Harvesters Community Food Network on December 5 in Kansas City.

As part of a holiday team-building activity organized by Stephen Flanery and Martie Small, the HR group spent hours at Harvesters’ Volunteer Engagement Center organizing and boxing food donations. Their diligent efforts supported the organization’s mission of mobilizing the power of the community to create equitable access to nutritious food and address the root causes and impact of hunger.

“Community engagement and giving back are at the core of the firm’s values and our vision as an HR team,” said Latricia Shepard, Spencer Fane Chief Talent and Diversity Officer. “I am incredibly proud of this team for the hard work they’ve done all year to demonstrate care and concern inside and outside the firm. Harvesters is an incredible organization, and we were honored to serve their mission.”

Harvesters is a regional food bank serving a 27-county area of northwestern Missouri and northeastern Kansas. Through a network of more than 900 nonprofit partner agencies, the organization enhances food security through programs benefitting families, youth, seniors, disaster victims, and more.
