Spencer Fane was pleased to sponsor the 2023 ALM Women, Influence & Power in Law Awards on October 18 in New Orleans. The firm was honored with two awards at the ceremony, which was attended by attorney James Crumlin and client development manager Bernadette Lawson.
The Women, Influence & Power in Law Awards honors top women lawyers who have made a remarkable difference in the legal profession — whether in shaping the law, achieving outsized results for their clients, being an outstanding jurist, or assisting those in need of legal services. This year, Spencer Fane was one of only two law firms to earn the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Team Award for making a significant, measurable impact in driving lasting, positive change. In addition, Elizabeth Wente – Immediate Past Chair of the Spencer Fane DEI Committee – was honored with an Ally of the Year recognition for her promotion of diversity efforts at Spencer Fane and her commitment to advocacy.
At Spencer Fane, our DEI efforts are spearheaded by the firm’s DEI Committee. Chaired by James, the Committee works in tandem with the Executive Committee and other firm leadership to build, maintain, and leverage a diverse and inclusive law firm that strengthens our clients and communities through a variety of initiatives.
