August 31, 2020

Spencer Fane LLP is pleased to announce Drew O’Malley has joined the firm’s Tampa office as an associate in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice group.

O’Malley’s experience includes representing financial services providers in state and federal litigation, including defending clients against claims brought to regulatory agencies. Additionally, he has defended mortgage lenders, servicers and other financial services providers against borrower complaints alleging violations of state statutes, wrongful foreclosures, and debt collection statutes.

“Spencer Fane continues to look for opportunities to grow our Tampa office in a manner that aligns with our client needs,” said Kirby McDonough, office managing partner for Spencer Fane in Tampa. “Drew will expand our capability to handle complex litigation matters, especially those in financial services and real estate, and allow us to maintain our commitment to high levels of client service.”

O’Malley has been involved in the Trial Lawyers and Young Lawyers sections of the Florida Bar. In addition to his legal work, O’Malley was accepted into and participated in the Tampa Connection Class of 2020, a yearlong leadership program dedicated to promoting community service and leadership development opportunities for participants.

O’Malley completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida’s Warrington College of Business Administration with a degree in finance and later earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law.
