Spencer Fane LLP is pleased to welcome Gabriel R. Duarte, who is based in Ventura County, California, and will be associated with the firm’s Santa Monica, California, office, as a partner in the Tax, Trusts, & Estates Practice Group.
Gabriel counsels high-net-worth individuals, families, entrepreneurs, and corporate fiduciaries on all aspects of estate planning and the administration of sophisticated trusts with a focus on tax minimization, asset preservation, and the secure transfer of wealth.
Regularly working with multimillion-dollar trusts and estates, Gabriel is well-versed in administering trusts of families with significant real estate investments, including real property assets. In coordination with trustees and other professionals, he manages all types of complex real estate transactions and related environmental, tax, and investment concerns applicable to clients’ residences, multi-family apartment complexes, shopping centers, and office buildings.
When disputes do arise, Gabriel is fully equipped to resolve conflicts through settlement or litigation.

After completing his bachelor’s degree summa cum laude at Pepperdine University, Gabriel earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California School of Law. His practice has been recognized several times by leading legal and business publications.
