February 8, 2021

Spencer Fane LLP is pleased to announce Joseph (Joe) Hunt has joined the Labor and Employment Practice Group in Denver as an of counsel attorney.

Hunt’s practice focuses on litigation for all matters related to anti-discrimination statutes, unfair labor practices, accommodations in the workplace, wage and hour issues, and contract disputes. He partners with clients with a purposeful focus on compliance and regulatory needs in an effort to avoid scenarios resulting in costly litigation.

Hunt also regularly represents employers in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies, with a strong track record of successful mitigation of complex labor and employment legal issues. He is the second recent addition to the Spencer Fane Labor & Employment group in Denver, joining partner Jonathon (Jon) Watson.

“Joe’s experience and talent further strengthens the depth of our bench in our labor and employment practice group and the services the group provides our clients,” said Ron Fano, Office Managing Partner for Spencer Fane in Denver. “The firm identified a need from our clients in this area, and we have been fortunate to identify and add an attorney like Joe who fits so well with our culture and commitment to client service.”

Prior to entering private practice, Hunt served as corporate counsel for a Fortune 200 telecommunications company, providing him valuable insight and perspective on the issues and challenges his clients often face in the modern workplace to navigate laws and regulations governing all aspects of the employer-employee relationship. This includes broad experience with policies and agreements, pay and benefits, hiring, investigations, restrictive covenants and trade secrets, and discipline and terminations.

Hunt completed his undergraduate studies at Yale University and earned his Juris Doctor from University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law.
