Spencer Fane LLP is pleased to announce Jason C. Smith has been named office managing partner for the firm’s office in Springfield, Missouri. His duties became effective March 15, 2021.
Smith takes over duties from Richard E. Walters, who remains with the firm as a partner.

A partner at Spencer Fane since 2014, Smith is a trial lawyer who represents clients from individuals to Fortune 500 companies in business matters and litigation throughout the country. He has defended class action cases and handled complex contract and tort claims in health care, retail, construction, banking, manufacturing, higher education and other industries. He also has extensive experience representing clients in construction and real estate matters, including contract review and negotiation, payment disputes, claims of defective design and defective workmanship, prevailing wage matters, and general claims resolution.
