Spencer Fane attorney Shawn Tuma recently served as a featured speaker at the Tax Law in the Digital Age: 44th Annual Course, presented by TexasBarCLE.
During the two-day continuing legal education program, Shawn co-presented the ethics session, “Ethics of Using AI for Tax Attorneys”, alongside Peter Vogel of Peter S. Vogel, PC of VOGEL IT Law. The one-hour ethics presentation explored the responsible use of artificial intelligence in tax law practice and addressed ethical considerations attorneys must evaluate as AI tools become increasingly integrated into legal services.
The annual course brought together judges, tax practitioners, government officials, and industry leaders to discuss emerging developments affecting tax law and practice. The program offered more than 12 hours of continuing legal education credit, including ethics credit, and was delivered via live webcast to attorneys throughout Texas and beyond.
Shawn is widely recognized for his work at the intersection of cybersecurity, privacy, technology, and AI law. His participation in the program reflects his ongoing commitment to helping legal professionals understand and navigate the opportunities, risks, and ethical responsibilities associated with rapidly evolving technologies.
