Spencer Fane attorney Shawn Tuma presented on what professionals need to do to prepare before, during, and after a ransomware attack or breach as part of a cyber incident response workshop on July 7. The event was co-hosted by nonprofit K12 Security Information Exchange (K12 SIX) and ESC Region 11, an education service center.
The presentation, What Schools Need to Know and Do Before and After a Cyber Attack, led the audience through preparation to post-incident activities from the first hour to years after a ransomware attack.
Shawn was joined at the full-day, comprehensive workshop by Eric Lankford, Director of the K12 Security Information Exchange; Mike Saylor, CEO of Blackswan Cybersecurity; and Jeff Shaffer, Vice President of Engagement Management at Stroz Friedberg.
