Spencer Fane attorney Scott Woody moderated an American Bar Association (ABA) webinar sponsored by the organization’s Litigation and Young Lawyers Division on July 10.
The session, How to Improve Your Opening Statement, provided both new and seasoned litigators the opportunity to refine their opening statement techniques. Scott moderated a discussion with panelists David Kent of Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath and David Scott of Brennan Manna Diamond. Using real-world examples and best practices, they covered how to effectively structure an opening statement, incorporate compelling themes and visuals, and avoid common pitfalls.
