Spencer Fane Legal Nurse Consultant Sarah De La Garza presented at the Critical Nursing Symposium on February 21 in The Woodlands, Texas.
Hosted by the North Harris Montgomery County Chapter of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, the Symposium explored important areas of the current critical care landscape such as pharmacology, EKGs, ventilator management, sepsis, and more. Sarah co-led the presentation Legal Implications of Documentation. She and fellow speaker Dale Burrus shared valuable information on medical malpractice litigation and how nurses can avoid common pitfalls in their practice.
