Spencer Fane attorney Ruthie White will present on the complex web of employment law related to terminating employees during two seminars at the 2022 Gulf Coast Symposium on HR Issues on July 27.
The presentation, Avoiding Separation Anxiety: Best Practices for Terminating the Employment Relationship, will explore best practices for terminating the employment relationship, including but not limited to: proactive steps an employer should take pre- and post-termination; recent court decisions that highlight common termination mistakes and how to avoid them; and strategic considerations related to release agreements.
At Spencer Fane, Ruthie helps employers resolve labor and employment disputes in and out of court. She is an involved community member, serving on the boards of several organizations, including South Texas College of Law-Houston, and is a frequent speaker at Continuing Legal Education seminars for law schools and bar associations.
