Ruthie White to Discuss Bias Against Women of Color at State Bar of Texas Annual Meeting

Spencer Fane attorney Ruthie White will present a CLE for the State Bar of Texas Women and the Law Section on June 22 in Austin, Texas as part of the organization’s Annual Meeting.

Ruthie’s presentation, Implicit Bias and Unconscious Bias/Women of Color, will serve as the third topic for the four-topic panel, Why Are We Losing Women? Led by moderator Sylvia Borunda Firth, the panel will include Hilda C. Galvan of Jones Day and Alicia Freeman of the State Bar of Texas in addition to Ruthie. The discussion will also cover gender equity, allyship and mentorship, and psychological safety.

The State Bar of Texas Annual Meeting will last June 22-23 and will allow attendees to network, receive award recognition, and earn CLE credit via timely and relevant sessions led by top industry thought leaders. Taking place at the JW Marriott, the event will also include breakfasts, luncheons, receptions, and exhibits.
