Spencer Fane attorney Robyn Nordin Stowell served as a featured panelist on member discipline issues during a National Club Association webinar on August 4.
During her presentation, When Members Misbehave, Robyn provided a detailed explanation of the member discipline process in the club environment. With member discipline issues on the rise again, clubs need to be prepared to address member behavior so that it does not create unnecessary liability for the club. The panel discussed the thorny details of applying the discipline process.
She was joined on the panel by Henry DeLozier, Partner at GGA Partners; Colin Burns, General Manager at Winged Foot Golf Club; and Joe Trauger, Interim President and CEO and Vice President of Government Relations at the National Club Association, who moderated the discussion.
