Spencer Fane attorney Rick Herold was elected Chairperson of the Board of Directors for Southwest Behavioral & Health Services (SB&H) at the organization’s April 25 board meeting.
Rick has been a part of the SB&H Board of Directors since 2017. As his leadership role with the Arizona nonprofit expands, he will continue advancing the organization’s mission of delivering compassionate care to enhance lives and improve communities.
“I am very passionate about SB&H’s work because I have seen so many people struggle with mental health challenges, including my younger brother, who we lost far too young,” Rick shared. “I am incredibly proud that SB&H is embedded in approximately 300 schools around the state of Arizona to deliver care to young students who might not otherwise receive help.”
SB&H employs approximately 1,000 people, including psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and other support staff who provide treatment to children and adults throughout the state. Staff and volunteers reflect the cultural diversity of the community and help administer an array of programs. Services include outpatient mental health and psychiatric treatment, intensive inpatient care for people in crisis, residential housing, prevention services, community outreach and school-based counseling, and more.
At Spencer Fane, Rick focuses on financial services, real estate, shareholders’ and trade secret litigation, with the goal of resolving dispute for his clients.
